THREE TIERS OF"GOAT PATHS" ACROSS THE "BASILICAN CORE"

(to view an enlargement click on the picture)

The Basilican Core is what allows JOA, uniquely, to open out the centre of a building, to function as the "Republic of the Valley", while still keeping services running in short links back and forth up and down the "Serving Order". The vertical ducts are in the 'Robot' columns and the horizontal ducts are in the 'Robot' beams. When they cross the 'valley', the Robot Beams do so under the bridges and balconies that we call the "Goat Paths".

Every Robot Column has a full height access door at every floor. This includes the cylindrical columns. One of the doors can be seen open on the right hand end of the topmost bridge, on the Fourth floor.

For information on the services, their accessibility, and the structure of the bridges and balustrades, see the enlargement by clicking on the Picture.
